<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-definition image reproduction by selectively displaying image data suitable for reproduction display. Ž<P>SOLUTION: It is confirmed in step S1201 whether both sa JPEG file and a RAW file are present or not. In a case where both the files are present, processing is progressed to step S1202, the JPEG file is read and a JPEG image size of the JPEG file is acquired. Next, the RAW image file is read in step S1203, and JPEG image size of a JPEG image for display on the RAW file is acquired. Then, in step S1204, the image size of the JPEG file is compared with the image size of the JPEG image for display stored in the RAW file. A file name containing a smaller JPEG image is then determined and image data in the determined file are displayed.
