<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst material which is capable of combusting soot at a low temperature without corroding a honeycomb structure onto which it is loaded. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a catalyst material used for combusting carbon is disclosed, wherein a delafossite-type AgAlO<SB>2</SB>containing an Ag compound is obtained by subjecting NaAlO<SB>2</SB>and Ag<SB>2</SB>O to a hydrothermal treatment at ≥150°C, and then the delafossite-type AgAlO<SB>2</SB>containing an Ag compound is cleaned for removing an excess amount of the Ag compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
