<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device capable of stable clock control over a long time, even in a receiving system without flow control. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving device includes a receiving section for receiving a packet stream having a predetermined number of consecutive units at least configured of a time stamp and a TS packet; an oscillator section capable of controlling an oscillation frequency; a measuring section for measuring the clock supplied by the oscillator section after frequency division; an acquisition section for reading out the newest time stamp read out from the packet stream received by the receiver section, and the newest measured value measured by the measuring section, at a predetermined period from the start of packet stream reception; a calculator section for calculating time stamps obtained by the acquisition section and an accumulated value of the measured values; a comparing section for comparing the magnitudes of the time stamps and the accumulated value of the measured values calculated by the calculator section, taking a network jitter into consideration; and a frequency control section for controlling the oscillation frequency of the oscillator section, based on the comparison result of the comparing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
