PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocking gear device with a rocking generator to be easily fitted inside a flexible external gear, and to provide a unit type gear device equipped therewith and its assembling method. SOLUTION: The rocking gear device 10 includes a rigid internal gear 20, the flexible external gear 30, and the rocking generator 40. The rocking generator 40 has two circular contour eccentric rollers 41 each consisting of a circular contour eccentric cam 42 to be rotated in a predetermined eccentric state, a bearing 43 and a wheel 44, and the centers of the circular contours of the eccentric rollers 41 are overlapped with each other to be located a predetermined distance from a rotational axis 1a in the mutually opposite directions. The cross section of the outer peripheral face of each eccentric roller 41 is shaped circular arcuate or tapered. The unit type gear device 1 equipped with the rocking gear device 10 includes an output unit 2 and an input unit 3. Herein, the outer periphery of the output unit 2 at its end on the side of the input unit 3 and the inner periphery of the input unit 3 at its end on the side of the output unit 2 are suitable for each other so that the output axis and the input axis correspond to each other.
