PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic thin-film transistor of high mobility, which forms a polydiacetylene thin-film high in stereoregularity on a semiconductor layer of the organic thin-film transistor by using a simple means. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the organic thin-film transistor includes at least a step of spreading a diacetylene compound in a liquid state on a substrate, a step of forming a crystal of the diacetylene compound, and a step of topochemical-polymerizing the diacetylene compound with an energy exerted from outside and forming poly diacetylene, as a manufacturing process of a transistor having a semiconductor layer of poly diacetylene.
