<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesizing anhydrous silicate by a solid phase reaction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method of synthesizing the anhydrous silicate using a silica raw material and a carbonate by the solid phase reaction, the solid phase reaction is carried out by introducing steam under atmospheric pressure.
