<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a working time and to improve working efficiency by removing a beltlike projecting part without using a removing apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cold heading device comprises: a mold 5 having a recessed part 5a with a tapered shape storing a blank (the body to be treated) 60 produced by cutting a linear blank 60a composed of a wire rod or a bar rod into a prescribed length; and a pressurizing part 10 inserting the blank 60 into the mold 5 and pressurizing the same, so as to produce the blank 60 with a tapered shape. The cold heading device is further provided with: an additional mold 30 having a recessed part 30a storing the blank 60 whose shape is tapered from the small size side; and a throttling part 40 arranged at a position confronted with the additional mold 30 and having an opening 45 into which the blank 60 is inserted from the large size side by pressurizing force from the additional mold 30, so as to pass through the same.
