PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deposit liquid absorbent fiber 2 in a mold 21 without being obstructed by a polymer supply member 41 of superabsorbent polymer 5. SOLUTION: While a forming die 21 is moved in one direction along a predetermined moving route, this device 10 for manufacturing an absorber 1 sprays liquid absorbent fiber 2 toward the forming die 21, deposits it in the forming die 21 and forms the absorber 1. The polymer supply member 41 for supplying the superabsorbent polymer 5 to the forming die 21 is disposed transversely across the spray route of the liquid absorbent fiber 2, and the polymer supply member 41 is formed with spaces for passing the liquid absorbent fiber 2 along the spray route.
