PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking container for a microwave oven, in which handle covers are reliably mounted and fixed to the handle parts of a glass-made container body, with simple configuration and the handle covers are also easily attached to/detached from the handle parts at need. SOLUTION: The cooking container for the microwave oven includes: the glass-made container body 2; the pair of plate-like handle parts 5 which are integrally and substantially horizontally projected from the upper part of an outer circumferential surface of the container body 2; and the handle covers 6 which are made of a synthetic resin material with rubber elasticity such as silicone rubber and freely removably fitted to the handle parts 5 so as to cover the outer surfaces of the handle parts 5 in a substantially tight contact state. The handle parts 5 includes engaged holes 10 penetrating the thickness direction; and one or a plurality of concave or convex engaged parts. Lock parts 11a and 11b to be locked by fitting to the engaged parts are integrally arranged on the inner surfaces in contact with the outer surfaces of the handle parts, of the handle covers 6.
