PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device capable of providing information resources desired by a user and a hyperlink related to the information resources by estimating a correct character string even when a character string indicating the location of the information resources is erroneously input. SOLUTION: The information providing device 1 comprises a receiving means for receiving the character string indicating the location of the information resources, and a retrieval means for retrieving the information resources based on the character string received by the receiving means, and provides a transmission source of the character string with the information resources retrieved by the retrieval means. The information providing device also comprises a generating means for generating a character string formed by changing a part or the whole of the character string received by the receiving means when the retrieval means fails to retrieve the information resources. The retrieval means is configured to retrieve the information resources again based on the character string generated by the generating means. The information providing device further comprises a transmitting means for transmitting display screen configuration information for making a divided display of the hyperlink including the character string generated by the generating means, and the information resources retrieved again by the retrieval means.
