PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor with a monolayer type photosensitive layer that outputs an image with high definition even after repeated use, to provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor is manufactured by forming a resin layer consisting essentially of a binder resin on a conductive support 1, then bringing the resin layer into contact with a supercritical and/or subcritical fluid containing at least one kind of a charge generating substance, a hole transporting substance and an electron transporting substance to form a photosensitive layer 2.
