PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means (a method, a reagent, and a kit for detection) for specifically and accurately detecting metichillin resistant staphylococcus (MRS). SOLUTION: Metichillin resistant staphylococcus is immunologically detected by using chicken IgY with respect to PBP2a (Penicillin-binding protein 2a). The constituted detecting method is characterized in that it includes a step of contacting a specimen with the chicken IgY with respect to the PBP2a, and a step of detecting a produced antigen-antibody complex.
