A drive controller in which a driver for a motor for an electric pump is protected without any measures against heat such as changes in a structure and an arrangement. The drive controller (5) for a drive device is provided with a mechanical pump (MP) operated by rotational drive force of an input member connected to and driven by a drive power source, an electric pump (EP) for assisting the mechanical pump (MP), and an electric pump driver (28) for controlling a drive current for the motor (20) of the electric pump (EP). The drive controller is further provided with a driver temperature evaluation means (50) for evaluating the temperature of the electric pump driver (28), and also with an electric pump control means (51) for interrupting the power supply to the electric pump driver (28) when the driver temperature evaluation means (50) determines, during operation of the electric pump driver (28), that conditions relating to the temperature of the electric pump driver (28) are in a specified first alarm state defined for the conditions. |
