PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically connecting an extension phone connected at a branch exchange system and a method thereof are provided to remove an extension phone connecting process, thereby shortening time of an originator. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(210) for automatically connecting an extension phone connected at a branch exchange system includes a storage unit(211), an extension number extracting unit(212), and a controller(213). A phone number of an originator and at least one extension number that an originator contacts correspond each other in the storage unit. The extension number extracting unit extracts an extension number satisfying a selected reference if an exchange device receives a call signal from the originator. The controller controls an extension phone exchange device(220) to connect a call signal through the extracted extension number. |
