<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk rotating mechanism which normally rotates and drives a flexible disk without causing surface wobbling for a long period by avoiding accumulation of distortion in a disk inner periphery section even when rotating the disk at a speed exceeding 10,000 rpm. <P>SOLUTION: The disk rotating mechanism includes the flexible disk 1 in which information is recordable, a turntable 5 on which the disk 1 is held, a spindle 3 that rotates the disk held on the turntable 5, and a stabilizer 30 that stabilizes the rotating disk 1. In the disk rotating mechanism, a rotation transmitting device transmits the rotation of the spindle 3 to the disk 1 via the turntable 5, and a disk holding device holds the disk 1 so that the disk 1 is elastically deformable from a center of the rotation of the disk 1 in a radial direction of the disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
