<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide drive unit which reduces the amount of the deformation a movable part caused by a repulsion force which is generated in a magnet group of a Halbach array. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit comprises the magnet group 9 aligned in the Halbach array, and drives the movable part 1 to which the magnet group 9 is attached, by relatively moving the magnet group 9 and an opposing coil group 7.
