<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous operation by a user in a push-button telephone set. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The push-button telephone set includes: a user operation storage means for storing in a preservation memory the contents of a key input with respect to the push-button telephone set together with at least the time in a file form for each push-button telephone set and each time period as a user operation history; an operation history retrieving means for retrieving the file of a certain push-button telephone set in the preservation memory by defining at least the contents of the key input and the time as keys when the key input is made in the push-button telephone set, and then extracting the user operation history with the time closest to the key input time; and a processing means connected to the user operation storage means and the operation history retrieving means for determining whether or not the user operation history extracted by the operation history retrieving means coincides with the contents of the key input and for allowing the push-button telephone set to display a confirmation message in the case of noncoincidence.
