PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a charging type analog electronic timepiece, wherein operation of a battery voltage detection (BD) circuit for motor control and a residual capacity BD circuit of a battery is very difficult to be executed by a single BD detection circuit. SOLUTION: Actual voltage terminal voltage measurement including a voltage rise by a polarization action at a charging time for motor driving, and open terminal voltage measurement in the charge prohibition state for residual capacity detection are executed at each different timing, to thereby allow execution by the single battery voltage detection (BD) circuit. Hereby, two contradictory BD detections are executed by the single BD circuit. Further, a BD detection period for residual capacity detection is shortened furthermore than a BD detection period for the motor, to thereby improve power consumption and a charge efficiency.
