PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency in cooking rice by effectively using the heat of a pot for cooking rice. SOLUTION: A pot 5 is freely put in or taken out of a rice cooker body 1 to be opened/closed with a lid 12. The pot 5 generates heat by induction by induction coils 23, 24, and 25. A magnetic-line-transmissive radiation restricting layer 27 made of a silicon resin or the like is arranged in at least a part of the outer surface of the pot 5. Thus, the discharge of the pot heat to an external part is suppressed, so as to enhance efficiency in cooking rice. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
