<p>Disclosed is a power conversion device, which is provided with a converter circuit and an inverter circuit, designed so that the output of said inverter circuit can be compared with better precision than when only the current level is controlled, thereby providing improved operating efficiency. A current sensor (17) senses the input current of the inverter circuit (3) and a voltage sensor (15) senses the input voltage of the aforementioned inverter circuit (3). A power level computing part (33) in the inverter microcomputer (30) determines the power level from the aforementioned input current and input voltage. The inverter microcomputer (30) and control microcomputer (40) perform droop control to suppress the voltage of the inverter circuit (3) so that the aforementioned power level is less than a specified power level.</p>
