METHOD FOR PROVIDING MOVIE INTERFACE AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE: A method for providing movie interface and recording medium is provided to find a desired moving picture by reproducing a plurality of thumbnail images. CONSTITUTION: A moving picture reproducing area is divided into N thumbnail picture reproduction areas which have the same definition. The N thumbnail images are mixed to reproduce in the reproducing area, and transmitted to a moving picture reproducing device. The active area information among the N thumbnail image reproducing area is received from the moving picture reproducing device. The definition of the active image corresponding to the active area information is enlarge to A rate, and the definition of I images which are neighboring with the active area is enlarged to B rate. A rate active image, B rate I neighboring image, and (N-(I+1)) thumbnail image are mixed and transmitted to the moving picture reproducing device.
