IMPROVED UNIVERSAL PATTERN GENERATOR APPLICABLE TO A SURGICAL LASER

The invention relates to a pattern generator applicable to any type of surgical laser equipment conventionally used for treating a patient's skin by ablation or thermal damage, said generator operating in a fractional mode or in a continuous mode, without requiring any modification of the original laser. The pattern generator mainly comprises a handpiece provided with a chopping system which splits the incident laser beam and is connected to a position sensor, and two mirrors controlled by respective galvanometers. The generator also comprises a control logic designed to govern all of the selected working variables: the type and size of the pattern to be created, the activation/deactivation of the chopping system, the chopping frequency, the distance between spots, or the power of the laser source. A control panel is connected to the control logic so that the user can select the different variables.
