<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina substrate for an inorganic separation membrane with superior corrosion resistance, including alumina and zeolite, and a manufacturing method of the alumina substrate for the separation membrane. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the alumina substrate for the separation membrane with superior corrosion resistance having the contents of: (a) Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>of 87-98 wt.%, (b) SiO<SB>2</SB>of 1-12 wt.%, (c) alkali metal oxide and/or alkaline earth metal oxide of 4 wt.% or less; (d) a porosity of 25% or more; and (e) the bending strength after dipping in (i) an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid of 1 wt.% for 500 hours being 80% or more of that before dipping, and the bending strength after dipping in (ii) an aqueous solution of NaOH of 1 wt.% for 500 hours being 80% or more, and the manufacturing method of the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
