PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an avator to be displayed in a virtual space according to retrieval conditions input by a user in a device for providing a virtual space.

SOLUTION: A user U1 who uses a virtual space 7 instructs retrieval execution by entering his or her desired retrieval conditions by using a retrieval menu 8. The device 1 for providing the virtual space detects a user U2 based on the retrieval conditions, and transmits only the data of the avator of the detected user U2 to a client device 2. The client device 2 plots the avator data received from the virtual space providing device 1, and makes a virtual space 7 display the avator data.
