<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a side ditch, which enables the side ditch equipped with water catchment performance to be easily constructed on a job site, while reducing a construction period and construction costs by utilizing an existing side ditch nearly as-is. <P>SOLUTION: A cover slab 3 is removed from a side ditch body 2 of the existing side ditch 1; a plurality of concrete cover slabs 7 containing reinforcing fibers and equipped with a water catchment hole 8 elongated in the width direction of the side ditch are newly installed on cover holders 6 which are positioned inside both the side walls 2b of the side ditch body 2; a water catchment fitting 10, which is equipped with a water catchment slit 15 elongated in the longitudinal direction of the side ditch, is mounted on the top surface of each of the cover slabs 7; a net 11 is arranged thereon; and a pavement surface layer 34 is formed from the top surface of a base course 31 to the whole top surface of each of the cover slabs 7, except the water catchment slit 15 of the water catchment fitting 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
