METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHEET-LIKE ARTICLE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sheet-like article which includes subjecting conjugated fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers to an ultrafine fiber-forming treatment using an alkali solution, by which conjugated fibers on the surface of a nonwoven fabric is prevented from remaining without being processed into the ultrafine fibers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Provided is the method for producing the sheet-like article includes a process for applying alkali solutions having different viscosities to the nonwoven fabric produced from the conjugated fibers capable of forming the ultrafine fibers several times to be subjected to heat treatment for ultrafine treatment of the conjugated fibers.
