<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for using a power unit for emergency mounted on the vending machine for multiple purposes when a commercial power supply is stopped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vending machine is provided with a power unit for emergency in addition to power supply from a commercial power source, and configured in a manner to deliver merchandise by power supply from a commercial power source side in a normal time, and to supply power from the power unit for emergency in case of power outage. The vending machine is provided with communication means capable of transmitting and receiving data between the vending machine and an external device, and supplies power to the communication means when the power supply is switched to the power unit for emergency when a commercial power supply is stopped due to power outage.
