<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method capable of simply evaluating the solid catalytic activity of powder without requiring a special device or complicated analyzing operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This solid catalytic activity evaluation method of the powder contains a process for dispersing the powder in an oil soluble dye solution to prepare a powder dispersion and a process for thermally treating the powder dispersion at 35-65°C and is characterized in that the fading degree of the oil soluble dye by thermal treatment is set as an index.
