<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector which alleviates the feeling of discomfort of a user when wearing it and which allows a belt member to be quickly and easily adjusted in an appropriate wearing position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The protector includes: two belt members 2, 2 having an upper end 2a positioned diagonally and attached on a top projected piece 1a of a protector body 1 and a lower end 2b attached on an abdominal side edge 1b of the protector body 1 and intersecting with each other in an X-shape at the rear surface 1c of the body 1; and a friction holding piece 3 surrounding a belt intersecting section 2A of an X-shaped intersection to hold the section 2A in the state of allowing vertical adjustment of the position of the belt intersecting section 2A.
