PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carbon material production device for producing a porous carbon material within a metallic reaction furnace, in which the erosion going to the inside in the thickness direction at the inner wall face of the reaction furnace is prevented, and further, a porous carbon material having low contents of metal components can be produced. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a porous carbon material production device where a porous carbon material is produced within a metallic reaction furnace, and the reaction furnace is formed by a metallic material having the constituting components of, by mass, 21 to 23% Cr, 5.0 to 6.0% Al, and the balance Fe.
