Disclosed are resin particles having a sufficiently narrow particle size distribution, which can be obtained by using a supercritical fluid. Also disclosed is a method for producing resin particles having a sufficiently narrow particle size distribution by using a supercritical fluid. Specifically disclosed is a resin particle (C) wherein fine particles (A) are bonded or applied in the form of coating layer to the surface of a resin particle (B) which contains a resin (b). The swelling degree of the fine particles (A) by carbon dioxide (X) in a liquid or supercritical state at a temperature less than the glass transition temperature or melting point of the fine particles (A) is not more than 16%. The fine particles (A) are composed of at least one substance selected from the group consisting of crystalline resins (a1), amorphous resins (a2) and inorganic compounds (a3). |
