PURPOSE: A ranging executing method in a wireless communication system for supporting two communication schemes is provided to efficiently use wireless resources in a wireless communication system for supporting two communication schemes. CONSTITUTION: A ranging executing method in a wireless communication system for supporting two communication schemes comprises the steps of: allowing a terminal, which uses a second communication scheme, to obtain system information, wherein the system information includes the information that indicates a ranging channel to be used; and allowing the terminal to select a second ranging code discriminated from a first ranging code and transmit the second ranging code to a base station when the system information indicates the use of the ranging channel depending on the first communication scheme, wherein the terminal using the first communication scheme uses the first ranging code in a ranging code region. |
