<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp the replacement timing for a motor and at the same time control cost increase of the motor for a printing apparatus equipped with a rotation part for image transfer which is driven to turn by a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus calculates, by a control part 81, the corrected life value computed based on the load fluctuation conditions of a motor and the life value based on the predetermined initial life value and the number of pages printed.
