<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp device for a vehicle can easily perform an irradiation control of light in a direction to the shoulder of a road so as to call the attention of at least either a driver or a pedestrian. <P>SOLUTION: The head lamp device for the vehicle 10 includes: a lamp unit for additional beam 20 can apply the light in the direction to the shoulder of the road; a lamp unit for high beam 18 can apply part of the light in the direction to the shoulder of the road; a control part of the head lamp device 56 for controlling application of the light with the light sources.
