<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a seesaw-type knob illumination containing a light source in it, capable of eliminating the difference in luminance between left and right identification display portions, provided on both ends of a knob due to the difference between the distance of the left identification display portion from the light source and the distance of the right identification display portion from the light source, when one of the identification display portions of the knob is pressed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Protruding portions 8, respectively having an approximately triangular cross-section, are provided on the backside 10 of a seesaw-type knob 3 to compensate for the difference in quantity between a light which is directly incident to a left identification display portion 6 from a light source 7 and a light directly incident to a right identification display portion from the light source 7 with a quantity of light fetched from the light source 7 by the protruding portion 8. This can prevent the imbalance in the left and right illumination luminances of the left and right identification display portions provided on left and right ends 6 of the knob 3, accompanying rocking of the seesaw-type knob 3.
