<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while performing exchange of data between with a data processing means without hindrance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This circuit includes: a voltage variable regulator 22 changing a voltage value of power source voltage supplied from the outside and supplying it to a read/write channel 32 exchanging data between with data processing means (16, 40) for writing or reading data to/from a magnetic disk 12 at a transfer rate in accordance with a zone; and a regulator control circuit 36 controlling a voltage variable regulator 22 so that power source voltage corresponding to the transfer rate of the data processing means is supplied to the read/write channel 32.
