<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion resistant Ti alloy for decoration having excellent corrosion resistance, wherein a base material is not eroded and the surface of the base material is prevented from being roughened when a colored coating film is partially removed, because an intermediate layer, composed of a Ti coating film and provided between the base material and the colored coating film to protect the base material, has such defects that estimation of end point is difficult in removal of the colored coating film, and the base material is often eroded and the surface of the base material is roughened because the color tone of the intermediate layer has the same color tone as that of Ti or an Ti-alloy of the base material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the Ti alloy for decoration, a base material contains at least one of V, Nb and Ta, and a passive coating film composed of an oxide of at least one of metal selected from V, Nb and Ta is imparted onto the surface of the base material. Thereby, the Ti alloy for decoration is not eroded and the surface of the Ti alloy is not roughened even if a peeling liquid such as a mixed acid of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid is used.
