PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To float and convey an article at high speed without contact, and to easily control the position, the direction and the position in a lateral direction of the article. SOLUTION: A magnetic body is assembled to the article of nonmagnetic body, and a plurality of floating units 6 are provided along a conveyance path for the assembled article to float the article. A coil disposed on the conveyance path 3 at the same pitch is controlled in electrifying to change a magnetic field, and by applying this magnetic field to a conductive layer assembled to the article, the assembled article gains driving force and is conveyed along the conveyance path at high speed.
