<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a huller having a simple constitution, which can prevent a shaft supporting a roll from turning together with the roll in detaching the roll without requiring any exclusive tool. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control apparatus 70 controls an electric motor 6 rotary-driving a fixed shaft 21 in which a first roll 22 and a second roll are fixed and a movable shaft 23, and a press mechanism 25 presses the movable shaft 23 to cause the second roll 24 to be pressed by the first roll 22 by a predetermined pressure to start a maintenance mode based on an external manipulation. In the maintenance mode, the second roll 24 is pressed with the first roll 22 by the pressing mechanism 25 in a state that the rotary drive of the first roll 22 and the second roll 24 by the electric motor 6 is stopped.
