<p>SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAGNETIC-RESONANCE-GUIDED ELECTROPHYSIOLOGIC AND ABLATION PROCEDURES Abstract A system and method for performing an electrophysiological procedure is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: placing a subject in a main magnetic field of an MR imaging system; introducing an MR-compatible electrode catheter (1) with an MR receive antenna (3) into the subject; acquiring a magnetic resonance io signal using the MR receive antenna while the subject is in the main magnetic field; generating magnetic resonance images using the signal from the MR receive antenna to determine the location of the MR-compatible electrode catheter while the subject is in the main magnetic field; and using the MR-compatible electrode catheter to acquire electrical signals indicative of an electrophysiological state of target tissue of is the subject while the subject is in the main magnetic field. 2452059-1</p> |
