PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling flush type air cleaner with reduced presence even though it is installed on the ceiling of a room, can keep the unity of the room's design, and give no feeling of discomfort due to the downward blowing of purified air. SOLUTION: At least one surface of a machine body 2 has a quadrate shape having short sides 3 and a long sides 4 facing to each other. Air outlet ports 6 are provided at both edge parts on the short side 3 sides of the quadrate surface 5 while air suction ports 7 are provided at both edge parts on the long side 4 sides. The quadrate surface 5 surrounded by the air suction ports 7 and the air outlet ports 6 is mounted with a ceiling member 9 the same as that of an installation room 8. Further, air cleaner equipment 10 and an air blower 11 are provided in the machine body 2 positioned between the air suction ports 7 and the air outlet ports 6. Outside members 12 of the air outlet ports 6 are formed to have outward R-shapes, and blowing-out air from the air outlet ports 6 is diffused to the outside, which achieves the solution of the problems.
