摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a risk of liquid compression accompanying capacity adjustment of a compressor and to improve reliability in a heat pump device for performing a supercritical cycle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A controller performs operation control of an air conditioner constituted by the heat pump device. The controller sets a high-pressure target value in accordance with a heating load and adjusts the operation capacity of the compressor so that high pressure of a refrigerating cycle becomes the high-pressure target value. The controller adjusts an opening of an outdoor expansion valve so that the degree of superheat of the refrigerant at an outlet of an outdoor heat exchanger during heating operation becomes a superheat degree target value. When raising the high-pressure target value, the controller forcedly raises the superheat degree target value simultaneously and maintains the high value temporarily. In the air conditioner, when the high-pressure target value is raised to increase the capacity of the compressor, the superheat degree target value is raised in conjunction with the increase, so as to reduce the opening of the outdoor expansion valve.
