<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitting method for forming knitted cords on a flat-knitting machine by crossing a plurality of cord-like knitted fabrics. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The knitting method includes the following process: Using a flat-knitting machine having at least a pair of front and rear needle beds and constituted rackably, a plurality of cord-like knitted fabrics are made by feeding knitting yarns via individual yarn feed ports respectively, wherein during the knitting operation, any two of the cord-like knitted fabrics adjacent to each other are hooked on one and the other of the separate needle beds respectively, to replace the positional relation on the needle beds by racking and stitch transfer, and as to the cord-like knitted fabric hooked on one of the needle beds, the succeeding positional relation is replaced with the newly adjoining cord-like knitted fabric to effect hooking on the other needle bed, in this way, repeating context replacement by racking and stitch transfer, thus forming the objective knitted-cord-like knitted fabric.
