<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sterilization capable of sterilizing even devices of a food filling system having a complicated surface completely in a short time by an automated and simplified method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for sterilizing the food filling system which sterilizes an sterilized surface formed of an outer surface of the device of the food filling system, the inner surface of the room and inner and outer surfaces of piping for a sterile water line existing in a chamber (16) forming a sterilely closed space made to maintain sterile conditions by introducing the sterile air of positive pressure into this sealed space by making as sealed space by enclosing a part of the space in a working room provided with a doorway for carrying in a food package container, is used to sprinkle warm water into a chamber (16) through a rotating nozzle (2) and a stationary nozzle (3) by warming the water supplied from a warm water supply source (6) up to a temperature more than 60°C with a warming heater (6).
