Disclosed is a new compound represented by formula (1): A-{D1-(E)q -D2-(B)m-Z1-R}p. In the formula: A represents an alcohol residue having a valence of p, where p represents an integer euql to or greater than 2; D1 represents a carbonyl group (-C(=O)-) or a sulfonyl group(-S(=O)2-) and can be the same or different from other instances of D1; D2 represents a carbonyl group (-C(=O)-) or a sulfonyloxy group (-S(=O)2O-); E represents a predetermined divalent group; q represents an integer equal to or greater than 0, and can be different from other instances of q if q is equal to or greater than 2; B is a substituted or an unsubstituted methyleneoxy group, ethyleneoxy group, propyleneoxy group, or butyleneoxy group, wherein a plurality of linked Bs can be different from one another; m is a natural number equal to or greater than 1; Z1 represents a single bond or a predetermined divalent group; and R represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 8 or more carbon atoms, a perfluoroalkyl group, or a trialkylsilyl group.
