ANTI-GLARE HARDCOAT FILM AND POLARIZING PLATE USING THE SAME

Disclosed is an anti-glare hardcoat film (14) having a hardcoat layer (13) on the surface of a transparent plastic film (12'). The hardcoat layer (13) is formed by using a hardcoat layer-forming material containing (A) an active energy ray-sensitive composition containing (a) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate monomer and/or (meth)acrylate prepolymer and (b) silica fine particles, (B) spherical organic fine particles and (C) a dispersing agent containing at least one polar group in a molecule. The thickness of the hardcoat layer is larger than the average particle diameter of the spherical organic fine particles (B). A polarizing plate (20) using this film is also disclosed. The anti-glare hardcoat film is provided with a hardcoat layer containing organic fine particles, and is not decreased in contrast when the external haze and specular gloss at 60° are controlled to desired values. The polarizing plate uses this anti-glare hardcoat film.
