<p>Disclosed is a method for crimping a terminal on a wire such that the crimp portion (3) of a terminal is crimped on the conductor portion (1) of a wire consisting of a bundle of a large number of non-plated strands (2) made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy to wrap the conductor portion from the outside, wherein the crimp portion of a terminal is crimped on the conductor portion while melting the surface of the strands with Joule heat generated from the resistance between the contact surfaces of the strands and the resistance between the contact surfaces of the strand and the terminal by feeding a current between a strand (2a) located at the most central part in the bundle of a large number of non-plated strands and the crimp portion wrapping the conductor portion from the outside.</p> |
