<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a configuration that allows operation control according to a degree of abnormality even for abnormality with a converter circuit in a power converter having the converter circuit with switching elements and an inverter circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter is provided with a microcomputer (20) for a converter, which controls operation of a converter circuit (2) having a plurality of switching elements, and a microcomputer (30) for an inverter and a control microcomputer (40) that control drive and non-driving of an inverter circuit (3). The microcomputer (20) for a converter is configured to output a different signal according to a degree of abnormality with the converter circuit (2).
