<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head slider manufacturing method which can make the read element in the dimensions as specified by reducing the variations in processing, raise the production yield, and improve the electromagnetic transducing characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method has a step of forming grooves 20 on the wafer substrate 10 at the position to cut out the raw bars, a step of filling an insulating material 24 in the grooves 20, a step of forming read elements 26 and write elements 30 on the surface of the wafer substrate 10 having grooves 20 filled with the insulating material 24, and a step of cutting the wafer substrate 10 having the read elements 26 and the write elements 30 along the grooves 20, and forming raw bars having bases made of the wafer substrate 10 and covered with the insulation material 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
