PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge mechanism can improve the positional accuracy of the tip alignment of paper, and improve throughput in printing, and a printer with the mechanism. SOLUTION: After a paper chip conveyed by a first drive roller 2 passes a first switch member 4, paper is reversely conveyed to an upstream side in a conveying direction by a second drive roller 7.
